Moneyless Human #3 - Tomi Astikainen
This week it's the third in a series where I speak to moneyless people around the world about their experiences of living without money, and why they do so. We're off to Finland this time to meet 30 year old Tomi Astikainen, who has taken moneyless living to the open road over the last couple of years. The Moneyless Human #1 - Daniel Suelo
I find it amusing when people continuously tell me it is impossible, en masse, to live without money. For 95% of our time on earth, we lived without money; it's only been in the last blink of an eyelid that we've actually used the stuff, and not a single other species on earth uses it. Out of all the issues that arise from the contemplation of the prospect of moneyless living, the matter of health is - unequivocally - the most controversial. The questions I get asked, the debates it raises, are often extremely heated and emotive (though factual at the same time). "My sister wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for a dialysis machine" or "I couldn't have had my beautiful son if it wasn't for IVF treatment" type comments aren't uncommon; in fact, answering them was one of my daily jobs until I recently realised I wanted to actually enjoy my little time here too.

Love, Julian Assange and saving the entire planet
This week the Freeconomy blog is less of an in-depth exploration of a particular issue or philosophical question, and more of a collection of small thoughts on random things. I normally keep such minor ramblings to myself; they're usually too small to justify a blog posting in themselves. But I thought this week that it would be good to get your viewpoints on some of them. So here is a collection of the miscellaneous thoughts that ran through my head during a thirty six mile round cycle trip to Bristol in the snow this weekend.
