He kickstarted his career by bringing buff back in news. Ranbir Kapoor dropped his towel in Saawariya and the country took notice. The mere fact that he’s so comfortable in his skin makes him a style icon. Also, his on-screen style has triggered fads. The cartoon t-shirts he wore in Wake Up Sid are a must-have in every collegian’s wardrobe. More recently, thanks to his Rockstar look, jeans have been replaced by harem pants in the college corridors. Though Ranbir says he lacks fashion sense, his off-screen appearances tell a different tale. His trademark leather jacket and denims are copied religiously by collegians too.
