There are signs that Kordell is pretty dull:

1. The Chris Myers interview. Yuck. Man Oh Man.
2. The Romanowski incident. Romo is an ass, but he was telling Kordell
something. He was saying "Hey, dummie, we knew you would do this. And
you did, not once but twice. You truly are as dolty as we discussed in
our team meetings. Wow!"
3. His present on-field play shows that he is not growing, but
regressing instead. This is typical of athletic QBs who are kind of
slow. Steve Young and Joe Montana were able to overcome and grow because
they were somewhat cerebral. Can anyone describe Kordell as even a bit
cerebral?
4. His rumored Wonderlic scores.
5. His need of not one, but two wrist bands, during his first two years
in the league. These bands contained the simplified "O."
6. Thigpen's comments. Yancey is a pretty nice guy. I think he is
speaking from the heart. Haven't any of you described any of your
friends as a little slow or dumb? Yancey is right on.
7. All these things combined point to some validity in questioning his
ability to ever read defenses and disguises to be serious at this
position.

I have been a Steelers fan for 25 years now. Kordell is not the worst
I've seen come through here. But he is the worst in the NFL as of right
now. Rating: 30 out of 30. Even lousy Scott Mitchell rates higher.
Yukola.

I saw the Chris Myers interview. On this particular day KS appeared to be
incredibly slow in his responses, some of which were incomprehensible. Myers
actually brought up the "is KS dumb" question which I'm sure was mortifying to
Kordell. I agree Romo is an ass (but I would love to have him on our team).

Didn't see it

This is irrelevant. Who cares what a complete ass does to intimidate on the
fiekd, it has nothing to do with reality. Romo also said their blitzes
confused Favre too. Does his comment make that true?

1st valid point

Some stuff he says in almost brilliant. His comments re: Rod Woodson were
genius. And at teh same time, I've heard him sound simplistic. The question
remains, how much IQ is needed when you have X amount of talent.

I'd like to find out about this and see what he really scored, although I'm
not claiming it's completely relevant or not.

I don't care what thigpen said. He's now ripping on his current team and
quite honestly, not doing all that much on the field

A real concern but it's week 4 and he's 2-1

Right, but last year at this time PGH D was ranked near the bottom of the
pile, but by year's end it was a different story.

You bring up legit concerns, but I'm not ready to claim your assertions as
fact

Well Yancey isn't a nice guy. It's fact that he is cocky and arrogent and very
self centered. However he is doing great. You want bad play calling well the
Oilers play calling is really bad!!!

You mean he's a typical pro athlete.

Does that mean that Mark Malone was a great QB, too? He took them into
the playoffs, too. C'mon, man. Being a true fan does not mean accepting
everything that comes our way.

Are you only a true American if you voted for and agree with the
president? It may be people just like you who are easily and blindly
lead astray by not having a mind strong enough to question.

I don't agree with all the posts, but I certainly don't agree with your
blind endorsement of everything the Steelers do. If I did, I'd be glad
we got rid of Ray Lewis at Linebacker. And I'm not.

He is better than M. Quinn. Lets tank the season to let kordell mature.
Rather lose
with Kordie than win with anyone!

Fuck Quinn!

THAT IS BECAUSE YOU WERN'T AROUND HERE LAST YEAR. WHAT DOES HAVING A
PROBLEM WITH A PLAYER MAKE YOU A FAKE STEELER FAN? OR IS IT WHEN SOMEONE
HAS A PROBLEM WITH A PLAYER THAT YOU LIKE? AND QUIT POSTING IN ALL CAPITAL
FOR CHRIST SAKE!

HEY what are you some kind of commie pinko fag? You can't come in here and
start contaminating these healthy and strong young minds with your self aware
individualistic intelligent thought process garbage. Clouding their minds
with the idea that to question is good, to gather the facts, not the emotions,
and to compile a reasonable conclusion based on your finding and not what
other say or where emotion may lead to. REMEMBER Individual thought is bad,
collective thought and Blind obedience is good. The party is always right.
Now get! Get the hell out of here before we stone you or burn you at the
stake you evil sorcerer. With just the right bash from the right person and
we will have hoards of crazed Steeler Fans running you down and rip you
apart....you bad man you.

to do what? romanowski is a marginal talent at best and always has
been. he's had the good fortune to land on very talented defenses
everywhere he's been.

I just thought I would let you know that a bandwagon fan is a fake fan.
And if I am reading correctly you replied to a post in which someone was
questioning one player (KS) and his intelligence NOT the ENTIRE team. So
if this person was not attacking the entire Steelers team as being suspect
and just one player how is it that he is a bandwagon (fake) fan? You see
Bandwagon Fans follow teams and everyone has a Favorite Player. I am a
Terril Davis fan but I do not like the Broncos. And to continue, you even
made a statement that NO ONE here has complained about KS last year which
is so far from the truth it ridiculous. Then again you choose to respond
to the line of questioning from the original poster on one player and only
one player. To which you sum it up by you being (by your own definition)
a "Real Steelers Fan", since you believe in KS "through thick and thin"(
and no mention of the team here) then all who do not think like you or
raise question about a player (not a team) that you don't like are
Bandwagon (fake) because they just can't comprehend what "it" is to be a
"Real Steelers Fan"

Or maybe you were getting tired of everyone bringing up negative criticism
about Kordell that you just wanted to type something down and forgot to
take the Caps Lock key off. Ah spontaneity, it's ok.

I am not a real or fake Steelers Fan, I am a Diehard Steelers Fan.
Something you can't comprehend.

No, it is just that the way "Real Steeler Fan" has been used in this (and
probably all) newsgroups. That if you don't absolutely worship all
Steelers or ones who are hoisted by the general consensus with or without
fact based reason you are dubbed a bandwagon or fake or depending on the
nationality of the player a racist. I'm not saying you referred your post
to me or anyone in general. It just had that certain ring to it and I
appoligies if I took it out of context. Say no more, on to bigger and
better things!
