Sony Completes Move of Its NYC Headquarters

Sony recently completed its 30-block move from former headquarters 550 Madison Ave. to 11 Madison Ave., where it will occupy the top ten floors (and rooftop) overlooking Madison Square Park.

Sony Corporation of America has migrated south. Music Week is reporting — and Billboard confirms — that the multi-faceted company recently completed its 30-block move from former headquarters 550 Madison Ave. to 11 Madison Ave., where it will occupy the top ten floors (and rooftop) with birds-eye views of Madison Square Park and its perpetually crowded Shake Shack.

The new headquarters at 11 Madison now hosts New York-based employees of Sony units including Sony Music, Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Sony Pictures and Sony DADC. The Sony Store, which closed shop at 550, is being replaced at the new building with a Sony showroom that will include a retail experience. The opening date for the showroom has not been announced.
