Trumbull Gallery

Trumbull Gallery, 1832-1901
Painter John Trumbull and his wife were interred here beneath his painting The Declaration of Independence. The Old Campus building housed America's first university art collection until the collection -- and the Trumbull remains -- were moved to Street Hall. With windows added, the building housed the treasurer's office until 1901.
