CENTAURO 155/39 LW is a Wheeled - Self-Propelled Howitzer (W-SPH) providing the fire support requirements of rapid deployment forces by means of an Ultra Light 155/39 mm calibre gun integrating a highly efficient muzzle brake.

An automatic loading system for ammunition, propelling charges and primers, operating at any elevation, allows high rates of fire, including Multi Rounds - Simultaneous Impact Capability.

CENTAURO 155/39 LW turret is unmanned and is fitted with a coax 7,62mm MG and an optional HITROLE® Light and a Day/Night Surveillance Sight.

CENTAURO 155/39 LW  fires both NATO JBMOU standard ammunition and VULCANO guided  ammunition, requires less than 3 minutes to be deployed and be ready for action and only 1 minute to leave the field following firing action.

CENTAURO 155/39 LW is based on an 8-wheel vehicle, with full NBC and ballistic protection, characterized by high tactical and strategic mobility, elevated agility, rapid deployment, high survivability. Blades are automatic and built in.

CENTAURO 155/39 LW can be integrated in any Battle Management System and Network and its on board units (computers, MVR, GPS, etc) allow  autonomous fire management, also when integrated in an Artillery Brigade.

CENTAURO 155/39 LW represents the most modern answer to the requirements set forth in the Digitized Warfare.
