ISLAMABAD- Pakistan hoped that political crisis in Ukraine will be resolved through peaceful means.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ms. Tasnim Aslam today told a weekly press briefing, tensions will not be allowed to aggravate in Ukraine, talks and diplomacy will be the only option to calm down the situation.

Tasnim Aslam said Pakistan hopes that there would not be a civil war after the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

"In case of civil war, Pakistan will receive repercussions. Pakistan is in contact with Afghan authorities regarding border security and effective management of western border," she said.

Foreign Minister said Pakistan believes that after presidential elections in Afghanistan on April 5, 2014 national reconciliatory efforts will continue.
