How Codeshare Agreements Work
Codeshare agreements are made between two or more airlines in order to increase the number of destinations and times they fly without the expense of expanding their own direct network. One airline operates a flight on a direct route, while other airlines market the flight under their own name. These are known as Codeshare flights because each airline involved sells tickets under its individual flight code.
