UFC 204 draws crowd in excess of 16,000 fans for $1.96 million live gate in Manchester

MANCHESTER, England – Saturday’s UFC 204 event drew an attendance in excess of 16,000 fans for a live gate of $1.96 million.

The UFC announced the tallies following the event.

UFC 204 took place at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The main card aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event, Manchester native Michael Bisping (30-7 MMA, 20-7 UFC) retained his middleweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Dan Henderson (32-15 MMA, 9-9 UFC), who knocked him down twice in the first two rounds. But Bisping took a unanimous decision with scores of 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.

UFC 204 was the fourth Manchester event in UFC history and the first since 2013. All have taken place at Manchester Arena (previously known as Manchester Evening News Arena and then Phones 4u Arena).

UFC 204 ranked second in attendance among the four shows.

The all-time attendance tallies in the Manchester venue include:

  • “UFC 105: Couture vs. Vera” – 16,693 ($2 million gate)
  • “UFC 204: Bisping vs. Henderson 2” – “in excess of” 16,000 ($1.96 million gate)
  • “UFC 70: Nations Collide” – 15,114 ($2,628,472 gate)
  • “UFC Fight Night 30: Machida vs. Munoz” – 10,355 ($1.5 million gate)
