Roger Waters quote[edit]

Where did the author get the quote that if Waters' albums "had the name 'Pink Floyd' on it, it'd sell ten million"? That defintely needs a citation. Crazydiamond1to9 07:24, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have a citation for this, but I'm not sure of the specific page reference; I'll add it later tonight. 212.240.100.229 (talk) 13:01, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Performed live[edit]

I'm going to remove the statement that this song was never performed live. It's unsourced and I've a more-than-reasonable doubt. I'm pretty sure I've heard it on a bootleg.

Waters as an enemy[edit]

Boxing gloves, "winning by a knockout" and a ringside bell are not evidence that the final verse is a reference to Roger Waters. I have changed the wording to better reflect the reference to Roger Waters and clarified the boxing reference Diabloman 17:30, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It sounds like a Rocky movie.. maybe Rocky 2

God DAMN, what a MESS![edit]

This article is more of a muddle than any JFK-Conspiracy buff or 9/11-Truther could ever barf up.
How about some simple, boring facts about a simple, boring song?
This "Right One" nonsense is pathetic. Rick Wright was fired by Roger Waters with the full consent of David Gilmour. He didn't "walk out the door", he got the BOOT.
It makes even less sense applied to Roger Waters.
"Right One"->"RO"->"Roger"?!? Jeezus, are we in kindergarten here?
And the sad truth . . . We never had to play such absurd GAMES to divine a meaning in Roger Waters's lyrics.

A lot of this questionable material was removed today, and that's an improvement. But I'm not sure if the Thorgerson interview, which was added, is helpful. He doesn't really answer the questions put to him, and therefore the content seems to have been added more for the speculative questions than the answers. Furthermore the full interview is kind of blog-like, with borderline credibility as a citation. Maybe it would be better to change the article to say that some fans have interpreted lyrics and CD booklet images as being coded references to Pink Floyd's history, without going into detail, and provide the external links for those who wish to read further. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 03:35, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The trivia section about profanity?[edit]

Why is this necessary? Who cares?. Also, shouldn't we include Louder than Words as a song with profanity, since that section is so important to the article we should make it as accurate to the article — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:644:502:9370:D8BF:99BD:9FD6:1F33 (talk) 17:28, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
