It is now known that mammals are not descended from reptiles as was once believed (see for example 'Beasts Before Us: The Untold Story of Mammal Origins and Evolution' by Elsa Panciroli, or the Wikipedia article on Reptiles), so the example has been updated/corrected. [The technically not quite correct definition of 'Sauropsids' has been deleted, see the Wiki article on Sauropsids]. undo
