It would be fine to use the older variant aruspex as well-- I just think we should pick one variant and use it throughout the entry. OED lists the main entry as haruspex with variants of aruspex and (h)aruspick, -pect. and google ngram shows the haruspex form occurring 10-30 times as often as the aruspex each year from 1960-2008 (most recent available data). undo
