Etymology[edit]
Blend of zero + groupoid. Coined in Hanamantagouda P. Sankappanavar (2012) “De Morgan algebras: new perspectives and applications”, in Scientiae Mathematicae Japonicae, volume 75, number 1, pages 21-50.
