  1. (Canada, US) A woman who aggressively manages her children's acting or performing career, often in what is considered a detrimental and overbearing manner.

Usage notes[edit]

The phrase has expanded to almost any performance related endeavor but is mostly linked to those doing traditional theater stage performances in front of an audience.
