  1. (anatomy) Cranial kinesis involving jointing between the dermatocranium and occipital segment.
  2. (biology, historical) According to C. Lloyd Morgan, a hypothetical property possessed by all types of life of being endowed with something that is not consciousness but has the potentiality of developing into consciousness.
