  1. A liquid storage container made from flexible material such as polyurethane.
    • 1989, Hazardous Cargo Bulletin:
      We have flexitanks, which are ideal for one-way shipment of non-hazardous liquids: and up to 30 flexitanks can be stowed in a standard 20ft box for empty return at minimal cost.
    • 2006, Industrial Fabric Products Review:
      The military has long been one of the largest purchasers of flexitanks, employing them for (among other things) water storage during deployments. But that's by no means the only application.
