Named after Eduard Glanzmann (1887-1959), the Swiss pediatrician who originally described it.

- A rare coagulopathy in which the blood platelets contain defective or low levels of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa (GpIIb/IIIa), which is a receptor for fibrinogen.
