脂肪税

脂肪分を課税対象とする税制。デンマーク政府が2011年10月1日より導入した。
デンマークにおける脂肪税では、バターやチーズなどに含まれる飽和脂肪酸1キログラムあたり16クローネが課税される。課税対象となる食品には、バター、チーズ、ピザ、食用油、一部の加工食品など。バターは14パーセント、マーガリンは21パーセント高額になるという。これにより年間およそ22億クローネの税収が見込まれるとされる。
なお、飽和脂肪酸を多く摂取すると肥満を招き、動脈硬化を引き起こす可能性が高まるとされる。デンマーク政府では、脂肪税を導入することでバターやチーズなどの食品の消費を抑え、デンマーク国民の健康を守る狙いがあるとされる。
ちなみに、ハンガリーは2011年9月「ポテチ税」を導入し、いわゆるジャンクフードに対する課税を開始している。

肥満税（ひまんぜい、fat tax）、脂肪税（しぼうぜい）とは、肥満を増加させ健康に影響を与える可能性のある飲食品に対しての課税である。一般に飽和脂肪酸や砂糖の加えられた飲料への課税が検討、施行されている。このうち砂糖に関する税制は砂糖税に詳しい。
