トーマス・ハードウィック (博物学者)

トーマス・ハードウィック（Thomas Hardwicke 1756年 [1]– 1835年3月3日[2][3]）はイギリス軍人、博物学者である。1777年から1823年の間、インドに滞在し、多くの博物学的標本を集めた。ヨーロッパでは知られていなかった、多くの新種動物の博物画を現地の画家に、描かせた。イギリスに帰国後、動物学者のジョン・エドワード・グレイと『インド動物図鑑』（"Illustrations of Indian Zoology" :1830–35)を出版した。
