Sボート、ドイツ語では「Schnellboot（シュネルボート）」と呼ばれるこの高速艇は、第二次世界大戦中にドイツ海軍が使用した高速戦闘艇である。イギリスではこの艇を指してEボートと呼称したが、これは「Enemy」にちなんだものである[1][2]が、"Eilboot"（アイルボート、急速艇を意味するドイツ語）の可能性もあるとされる。
