Wartime History
Built by Mitsubishi or Nakajima. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 0 / A6M Zero manufacture number unknown. This aircraft was either an A6M2 Model 21 or A6M3 Model 22. Painted overall gray or dark green.

Wartime History
During 1942 or 1943, this Zero crashed on Ranongga Island.

Wreckage
This Zero was discovered by local people near Kolamali Village on Ranongga Island. During 2005, the aircraft wreck was reported to Andrew Beaumont, Harry Greenwell and Matt Swainson who trekked to the site on November 20, 2005 and documented the crash site.
