The two-hour, action-packed grand finale of NBC’s America’s Got Talent: The Champions crammed in a season full of memories and amazing acts on Monday night (Feb. 18) — including such fan-favorites as Jackie Evancho, Tokio Myers and The Clairvoyants — before unveiling the first-ever winner of the latest iteration of the Simon Cowell-produced competition show.
When the confetti finally rained down at night’s end it was last season’s winner, magician Shin Lin, who held the giant trophy aloft, but not before he faced another former AGT champ, Evancho, in the top two after a glittering night of reminiscing about the origins of the show and very special performances with some suprise guest stars. Runner-up Evancho gave a breathtaking rendition of West Side Story’s “Somewhere,” while wearing a princess-esque blue gown that resembled the blue-hued stage as she skillfully hit every note of her pop-opera performance. Londoner Myers then took center stage with his awe-inspiring one-man-show by playing his all-white instruments including a grand piano and drums, accompanied by Voices of Hope Children’s Choir who lent their vocals to the captivating “All We Got” during the epic performance.
The episode was featured several other special performances from Champion’s top 12 acts, including a spooky mind-reading from The Clairvoyants, a 25th anniversary tumbling showcase from Cirque du Soleil’s Mystére, rocker Ramos and Brian Justin Crim belting Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” alongside a knife-throwing daredevils Deadly Games and a special appearance from host Terry Crews’ Brooklyn Nine Nine co-star Melissa Fumero as part of Lim’s winning card act.

The episode marked the final season for long-time judges Heidi Klum and Mel B — with dancer-actress Julianne Hough and award-winning actress Gabrielle Union taking their seats for the upcoming 13th season.
