Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Ten Filipinos from different fields and professions were included in Forbes' first-ever 30 Under 30 Asia list.

The list of 30 notable Asian personalities were divided into 10 categories:

- Entertainment & Sports

- The Arts

- Media, Marketing & Advertising

- Retail & ECommerce

- Finance & Venture Capital

- Enterprise Tech

- Consumer Tech

- Social Entrepreneurs

- Manufacturing & Energy

- Healthcare & Science

The list, posted on the Forbes.com website on Wednesday (February 24), included 10 Filipinos.

With the exception of Media, Marketing & Advertising and Enterprise Tech, Filipinos were included in each of the categories.

The Filipinos chosen by Forbes for the 30 Under 30 Asia list were:

Charice Pempengco (23) - Entertainment & Sports

Xyza Cruz Bacani (29) - The Arts

Ronson Culibrina (24) - The Arts

Koh Martinez Onozawa (26) - Retail & ECommerce

Rachel De Villa (23) - Finance & Venture Capital

Valenice Balace (27) - Consumer Tech

Raphael Mijeno (28) - Social Entrepreneurship

Henry Motte-Munoz (29) - Social Entrepreneurship

Leandro Leviste (22) - Manufacturing & Energy

Amin Hataman (15) - Healthcare & Science

The youngest Filipino included in the list was Amin Hataman, who was interviewed by CNN Philippines in 2015. Hataman invented a type of biodegradable plastic made from coconut.

Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list honors people from all over the region who have made notable strides in each of their fields of expertise.

Each category includes 30 "promising young leaders and game changers."

A total of 300 people were included in the list.

According to Forbes, 12 reporters were tasked to research "nominations covering all industries."

It added, "For months on end, our correspondents from around the region have been looking for the best and brightest 300 millennials who are disrupting and changing the faces of their industries."

Thirty judges then helped decide which young people made the cut.

Forbes said, "With 10 categories in total, our inaugural 30 Under 30 Asia list highlights inspiring young leaders in various fields covering consumer technology, enterprise technology, the arts, healthcare & science, media, social entrepreneurship, finance, industry and retail."
