Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine expressed
gratitude to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of
Infrastructure for transfer to MIA of 85 new cars that will be used by the
Ukrainian police.
These business class cars Hyundai Sonata were
purchased using budget funds and were used by the company Sky Taxi in Borispol
airport during the European Football Championship EURO-2012. Each car is
equipped with conditioner, a terminal for receiving credit cards and counter, a
dashboard camera and GPS navigator. Such equipment and class of these cars made
them uncompetitive in the market of taxi services. Therefore Borispol airport decided to hand
them to the police and thus to repay part of its debt to the state budget,
which has arisen as a result of preparations for EURO-2012.
All cars underwent preventive maintenance, have been
marked in accordance with the standards of the Ukrainian police and equipped
with the red and blue flashing beacons. From October 6 85 car went into disposal of
the patrol police of Ukraine.
