Why are there no more updates to (SHAZAM)RED?
The (SHAZAM)RED app raised over 500,000 USD, and we’d like to thank everyone who purchased the app – the money is enough to provide over 1.25M days of lifesaving HIV/AIDS medication.
Shazam's partnership with (RED) will continue in new ways, however, (SHAZAM)RED won't be supported after August 7.
When do I have to switch to the main Shazam App?
As long as you have version 7.7.1 or 7.7.2 of the RED app, you can migrate at any time from late Thursday, August 7th and reminders will stop on September 30th but you can still migrate after this date.
Will I keep my Shazam Tags?
Yes, your Tags will be automatically transferred across. Once you’ve downloaded the main Shazam App, a pop up will appear, tap on the “Transfer” button to move them across. Please note, don’t delete (SHAZAM)RED until the process is complete.
What happens if I don’t switch?
You can continue to use the (SHAZAM)REDApp – it will still work on your device. But you won’t benefit from any new features or updates that we introduce in the future – in order to get those you will need to move to our main Shazam App.
How do I migrate to the free Shazam App?

You can migrate from late Thursday August 7th. Here’s how:
Step 1: Ensure you have the latest version of (SHAZAM)RED app
Step 2: Download and open the main Shazam app.
Step 3: Tap on "Upgrade" to remove adverts
Step 4: Tap on "Transfer" to move your Shazam Tags
Will (Shazam)RED still work on my device?
You can continue to use (SHAZAM)RED it will still work. But you won’t benefit from any new features or updates that we introduce in the future – in order to get those you will need to move to our main Shazam App.
Will I get a refund?
Your purchase of the (SHAZAM)REDApp has helped raise over $500,000 USD in the fight against HIV/AIDS, and isn’t refundable. All our (SHAZAM)RED users will be moved to our main Shazam App. It’s free, you’ll get the same ad-free experience, and you will keep all your Shazam Tags – they’ll automatically be transferred across.
What do I do if I don't have the latest version of (RED)?
As long as you can prove you bought the RED app, if you send us the INID for the free one, we can update the payment status from our end.
Please note, if we do this, the payment status will not be reflected on your iTunes account.
Will Shazam continue to support causes like (RED) in the future?
Yes! Shazam will continue to support (RED) and the AIDS fight in new ways.

My Shazam Tags haven't transferred to my new Application - What can I do?
You are able to repeat the procedure. As before, please ensure you do not uninstall the (RED) application.
Step 1: Uninstall the free Shazam app.
Step 2: Reinstall the free Shazam app, and decline any prompt to transfer your (RED) Shazam tags.
Step 3: From the main screen, open the settings menu via the gear icon in the top-left corner:
Step 4: Select "Upgrade from Shazam (RED)":
Step 5: Then select "Keep your existing Shazam Tags".
We'd always recommend carrying out the transfer using a Wi-Fi connection, particularly if you have a lot of Shazam Tags.
