Beaker and Honeydew

Beaker and Honeydew

Where will these Muppets show in the top ten?

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his hapless assistant Beaker have devoted their lives to creating crazy gadgets that most people were unaware they needed.

The vote has now ended.

Kermit

Why Beaker and Doctor Honeydew are fab in the lab, by Kermit the Frog.

Hi ho, Kermit the Frog here on behalf of my good friends at Muppet Labs, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his always able-though frequently injured-assistant, Beaker. Why should you choose these two as Top Screen Scientists? Good question. In fact, Muppet Labs has been working around the clock (and it's a very big clock), running a series of overly complicated experiments to come up with good answers to that question. Here are their findings so far:

Doctor Bunsen Honeydew is a graduate of the prestigious Carnegie-Melonhead University, where he majored in quantum physics, illegible handwriting and pointless miniaturization, while studying under the tutelage of that esteemed scientist and badminton player, Doctor Pinhole Burns.

Beaker, who began his career as a crash test dummy, attended both Oxford and Cambridge and would have completed his studies if school officials had not notified security.

As co-founders of the Isn't Science Nifty Foundation they have spread the message that science is not just for short round-headed bald guys and their orange-haired goggle-eyed sidekicks. It's also for people like you and frogs like me.

As an amphibian, I'm happy to report that they don't do dissections, unless you count the countless times that Beaker has been blown to bits.

Every Muppet Labs invention includes free batteries and really cool decals!

They have found a cure for the common cold which unfortunately involves holding your breath for two weeks.

Admit it, watching smoke pour out of Beaker's ears is just good old-fashioned fun.

They were the first scientists to combine DNA with DKNY to create the worlds first genetic jeans.

Without his glasses. Doctor Honeydew looks a lot like David Beckham... sort of.

In the unlikely event of a water landing, Beaker can be used as a flotation device.

So vote for Doctor Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker as Top Screen Scientists! Or as they say at Muppet Labs: "Where Tomorrow Can't Wait Until Today Is Over!"

Amphibiously yours,

Kermit the Frog
