Latest :UNZA STUDENTS BOO CHEWE AND MULONGOTI (Thur 24th - 8pm)

The MMD team led by the Munali aspiring candidate Austin Chewe and their chairman for election Mr Mulongoti were invited to address students on MMD's vision. The more than 1200 students that packed the LTI lecture theatre soon become agitated with their guests as no "data was coming out" of their address. Mulongoti was the first to be booed down after he spent time wafling about how the opposition was wrong footed with the annoucement of the election date. While he insisted talking, the student screamed him down..." ...No data..no data.....1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10"

Next was Chewe who angered students by the time he was finishing his third sentence when he pointed at one student..."...my brother in a white T-shirt....BE REASONABLE". The students begun chants of "NO DATA....NO DATA.....TULEFWAYA MUBWATO...MUBWATO!!!!" as they gestured motions of paddling a boat in reference to the PF campaign symbol. The students begun trooping out as the meeting ended abruptly.

Sata Leads Lusaka Poll (14-08-06)
Key opposition leader Michael Sata has won the hearts of Lusaka electorates ahead of the September 28 polls.
According to the Action National Group for Emerging Leaders (ANGEL) opinion poll conducted in three Lusaka constituencies, Sata emerged winner with a runway 56 percent lead ahead of President Levy Mwanawasa (26%) and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema (14%).
