In one of the most interestingly animated films in quite some time, "Loving Vincent" paints a beautiful and complex picture of tortured artist Vincent Van Gogh. It's a stunning achievement that boggles the mind, but the final result is beautiful.

Superb on all accounts, the story is endearing, the visuals are beautiful and stimulating. A must watch for those who are familiar to van Gogh's works, but also those that want to discover it. A masterpiece of European art.

I wish they'd put half as much effort into the screenplay as they did the admittedly stunning animation. Hell, even jettisoning the plot might have been the better bet that way we could simply enjoy the imagery.

It leaves to us the audience, who always knew Vincent van Gogh was a brilliant Artist, all the reasons why his art and his life can effortlessly pierce through our souls. The film really did stick to that and I personally appreciated it so much! Also, I felt the dedication of many oil painters, actors and personnel on this film. Just imagining it makes me speechless. Five (5) starry, starry night stars!!!
