ENDA Kenny put his cares away as the dazzling displays of flowers put a spring in his step at Bloom.

The Taoiseach was spotted taking part in an impromptu dance session at the gardening extravaganza in the Phoenix Park.

He smiled warmly as he waved his hands in the air along with the other dancers to the Pharrell Williams' hit song 'Happy'.

However, he wouldn't take any questions on Fine Gael's election result or Labour's leadership battle.

"I didn't ask him to do this," an event organiser could be heard saying before An Taoiseach began his jig.

President Michael D Higgins officially launched the eighth Bloom in the Park festival yesterday, with more than 115,000 people expected to attend over the bank holiday weekend.

Chef Donal Skehan, who had long lines spiralling out from his stand, said it was a "celebration of Irish ingredients".

There will be over 100 Irish food and drink producers and more than 25 cookery demonstrations taking place at the festival.
