Michael Douglas looked stern in a stained shirt on Wednesday on the Connecticut set of his new film.
The 68-year-old Oscar winner had red stains on his light blue dress shirt while filming the Rob Reiner comedy And So It Goes.
The actor had a serious look on his face as he prepared to shoot a scene with director Reiner standing behind him.

Douglas co-stars in the comedy-drama-romance with fellow Oscar winner Diane Keaton, 67, and the film marks the first time they'll share the big screen.
The Romancing The Stone favourite portrays self-centered real estate agent Oren whose life goes into a topsy-turvy state after his estranged son drops off a granddaughter he never knew.

Douglas also filmed scenes with young actress Sterling Jenis, who portrays his granddaughter in the movie.

Jenis most recently played Brad Pitt's daughter in the action zombie movie World War Z.
Keaton portrays spunky and endearing neighbor Leah who helps Oren form a relationship with the girl as romance ensues between them.
Keaton also was seen between takes with Reiner standing next to her.

Douglas in other scenes looked dapper in a blue newsboy cap as he cruised around in a vintage tan Mercedes-Benz convertible.
The film reunites Douglas with Reiner, his director in the 1995 movie The American President.
It's the first time that Keaton will be directed by Reiner, who also has helmed the popular movies Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, Sleepless In Seattle, A Few Good Men and This Is Spinal Tap.
The supporting cast of And So It Goes includes Frankie Valli, Frances Sternhagen and Scott Shepherd. The movie is due out in 2014.
