Fahadh to play an action hero

The actor will be seen in a new avatar in Vinod Vijayan’s segment of D Company.
Fahadh to play an action hero
After playing a casanova, wastrel and a hard headed manager, Fahadh Faasil is now foraying into action. Diya, one of the segments of 'D Company', directed by Vinod Vijayan, will be an out-and-out action film, with Fahadh in the lead role.
He will be seen playing a law student in the film. The director says he cannot reveal more about the story, except that it involves the mafia and will have a social awareness message at the end of it.
“It’s a serious film, and will have three main characters — the other two being Ann Augustine, who also plays a law student, and child actor Esther Anil. Fahadh’s character is involved in a moot court competition, and the film revolves around that,” he says.
The director tells us that initially, Fahadh was a bit apprehensive to take up the role since he had not done action before. “Though, on hearing the story, he was all excited,” says Vinod. Apparently, the actor will be seen performing stunt scenes for the first time in his career. Diya is one of the five 30-minute segments in D Company. Padmakumar’s Oru Bolivian Diary and Deepan’s Gangs of Vadakkumnathan, which are also part of D Company, have already been shot. The shoot for Diya will start on May 20.
