Totti scored 26 goals for Roma last season but has called time on Italy

Italy striker Francesco Totti has retired from international duty.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Totti wanted to play part-time but the Italian soccer federation would not allow it.
The 30-year-old scored nine goals in 58 appearances for the Azzurri and last appeared for his country in last year's World Cup final against France.
Totti took a break after the World Cup to help an ankle problem to heal but has now made that decision permanent.
