FA announces new Cup sponsorship

The sponsorship deal could be worth up to £8m a year

The FA Cup will be sponsored by energy company E.ON from next next season in a deal thought to be worth £8m a year, the Football Association has announced.
The competition will be known as the 'FA Cup sponsored by E.ON' and will last four years and the deal also takes in the Women's Cup and FA Youth Cup.
FA chief executive Brian Barwick said: "We are delighted to have a company of E.ON's stature as its lead partner.
"The deal gives us an opportunity to build on the reputation of the Cup."
