Chloe Moretz has signed to star in upcoming indie drama Hick.
The Kick-Ass star will play a 13-year-old Nebraska native who runs away to Las Vegas in director Derick Martini's coming-of-age story, reports Variety.
Hick is based on Andrea Portes' novel of the same name. Portes adapted the book for the screen.
Filming is scheduled to begin in New Mexico later this year.
Moretz will next be seen in Let Me In, opening October 1 in US cinemas.
