Japan’s GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE announced its first domestic five-dome tour kicking off this summer.
The J-pop vocal and dance group embarked on its first dome tour last year, making stops in four domes across the country for a total of 10 concerts with sellout crowds of 415,000 in attendance.
The 2019 five-dome trek will add the Sapporo Dome in Hokkaido to last year’s list of venues for 12 shows, and expects to draw 480,000 fans for the seven-member group’s biggest tour to date.
GENERATIONS will also release new singles for three consecutive months starting in July. First up will be “Brand New Story,” featured as the theme song of the animated movie called Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara (“If I could ride the waves with you”), in which member Ryota Katayose stars in his first voice-acting role.
The group’s first new single of 2019 is an upbeat medium-tempo number with positive lyrics and a melody line that highlights Katayose and Ryuto Kazuhara’s vocal prowess.
GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE’s five-dome tour kicks off Aug. 31 in Sapporo, then continues after a short break with a series of shows throughout November and December.
