In 1970, paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson) Warren are summoned to the home of Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger (Ron Livingston) Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have recently moved into a secluded farmhouse, where a supernatural presence has made itself known. After years of lackluster releases from major studios, The Conjuring goes back to basics and manages to make something much more effective out of its formulaic story. It doesn't reinvent the wheel in any major way, but still largely thrilling.

The conjuring is the best terror movie of the last decade because play with the ambientation for create an atmosphere of suspense and distress, the actors act very good, the pair of the Warren create those vinculate with the viewer makings us care about them and the family The special effects are good but it is not big thing because there are few scenes with the demon and when the demon appear I see that he is not have a very elaborate design The soundtrack I think that is good because manages to create an atmosphere of suspense that catches you I think that is a very good movie to watch with friends and Eat, share and enjoy the one nice moment

This movie solidified my love for the horror genre. The story is so traditional and yet so well told: the story beats, tension, the carefully placed jump scares and performances make for an excellent horror movie. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are the horror heroes we didn't know we needed.
