Good news, Amazon Prime members: your subscription now includes a new perk.
Prime members in the US can now enjoy unlimited reading from a "rotating selection of books, magazines, comics, and more" at no additional cost. The list of available Prime Reading titles currently includes The Hobbit, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, The Man In the High Castle, The Millionaire Next Door, Half Way Home and When I'm Gone; comics such as The Complete Peanuts Vol. 1 and Transformers: Robots in Disguise Vol. 1; as well as short works from Andy Borowitz, Stephen King, Jane Hirshfield and classic works from Gloria Steinem, Norman Mailer, and Kurt Vonnegut.
The entire Prime Reading catalog includes more than 1,000 books. Other available titles include Red Sparrow, The Butterfly Garden, The 5 Love Languages, The Atlantis Gene, and Lonely Planet travel guides. There's also a selection of "fresh, full issues of top magazines covering sports, technology, cooking and home improvement, current affairs, notable people and more," Amazon said.
Prime members can check it out by downloading the Kindle app for iOS or Android or via any Kindle or Fire tablet.
For a bigger selection, Amazon also offers Kindle Unlimited for $9.99 a month, which provides access to over one million books, magazines, and audiobook
The new benefit comes after Amazon last month beefed up Prime, giving members unlimited free access to the new short-form digital audio service Audible Channels, and a "rotating selection of more than 50 audiobooks from Audible's catalog." More recently, the company announced Twitch Prime, which offers Prime members discounts on new and pre-release games and the ability to play a rotating selection of games for free.
Meanwhile, a $99 yearly or $10 monthly Prime membership also includes two-day shipping on Amazon.com orders plus a number of other perks like unlimited access to Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Photos, and early access to Amazon's Lightning Deals. New members can get a free 30-day trial of Prime.
