⭐️HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW⭐️

His name was Alex and he loved to play Minecraft.

Although you might know him better by his online persona, Technoblade: a crown-wearing, sword-swinging pig.

On July 1, it was announced that the popular American Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade died from cancer. He was 23 years old.

With more than 900 videos, 13 million subscribers and 1.3 billion views on YouTube, Technoblade had a huge impact on the gaming community.

In his final video upload, called “so long nerds,” his father announced that Alex had lost his year-long battle with cancer.

What Technoblade said in his last message to his fans

Technoblade prepared his last video hours before his death on July 1. He got his father to read a message to his fans.

His father began the YouTuber’s last video post by saying, “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you are watching this, I am dead. So let’s sit down and have one final chat.”

In the six-minute video, Technoblade thanks his fans and supporters for encouraging him during his battle against cancer. He acknowledges that sales of his merchandise helped his brothers and sister be able to afford college.

The rest of his goodbye video includes messages from his parents.

“He was the most amazing kid anyone could ever ask for. I miss Technoblade,” said his father.

While Technoblade loved to share his experiences on Minecraft, he was also a very private person.

In the video, his mother asked his fans to “continue to honor his wishes to protect his privacy and the privacy of his family.”

Technoblade’s video message goes on to reveal his first name, Alex, which he did not announce in more than a decade on YouTube.

The video ends with his father reading his note, “If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time, as those were the happiest years of my life.”

It has since been viewed more than 54 million times.

Technoblade’s illness and impact

Technoblade announced his cancer diagnosis to fans back in August 2021.

His illness started with a sore right arm and shoulder, which he originally thought was caused by too much gaming.

After going to the hospital, doctors told him it was cancer — specifically, sarcoma, a group of cancers that begin in the bones and connective tissues.

In the year and a half that followed, Technoblade and his fans raised more than $500,000 US for the Sarcoma Foundation of America, a charity.

The charity said in a statement, “[Technoblade] will be forever in our hearts for his valiant battle with sarcoma. If he were here, he would tell all others fighting cancer: ‘Keep Your Head Up King.’”
