At the Coliseum Don King in Texcoco, México, Adrian Hernandez (21-1-1, 13KOs) stopped Gilberto Keb (35-21-4, 22KOs) in ten rounds to capture the WBC junior flyweight title.

It was a very physical fight, with both boxers staying on the inside and trading punches with both hands. There were very few clinches. There were a few times in the later rounds, where Hernandez had Keb on the verge of going out with combinations against the ropes. Keb managed to survive, with some help from the sound of the bell that closed out the rounds.

Before the start of the eleventh, the referee had seen enough and stopped the fight. Keb was taking a beating by this point in the contest. The corner of Keb went wild after the fight was stopped and were protesting the call to the ref, the local commission and the Televisa crew.

In 2008, Hernandez knocked Keb out in four rounds. Keb's Cinderella run has come to an end after the big upset win to capture the title from Omar Nino last November.
