Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz and Helena Bonham Carter Join Johnny Depp in 'Dark Shadows'
Tim Burton’s Johnny Depp starrer begins U.K. shoot.
LONDON – Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz and Helena Bonham Carter have joined the already star-spangled cast of Tim Burton’s Johnny Depp starrer Dark Shadows.
The Warner Bros.-backed big-screen take on the 1960s cult gothic vampire TV soap opera is shooting in the British capital and at Pinewood Studios.
Burton’s adaptation of the TV show – reported to be a shared favorite of the director and long-time collaborator Depp – is penned by Seth Grahame-Smith based on the TV series created by Dan Curtis.
The trio join a cast already boasting Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote and Jackie Earle Haley as well as newcomer Gulliver McGrath.
Depp stars as Barnabas Collins, a self-loathing vampire who returns to his human roots in search of his lost love.
Thomas McDonell, one of the talents to have emerged from Prom, will play the young Collins in the film.
The movie is being produced by Oscar winners Richard D. Zanuck and Graham King.
Danny Elfman is tasked with writing the score.
According to the British movie agency for the capital, FilmLondon, the picture will be shot entirely in the U.K.
Burton and partner Bonham Carter live in the U.K.
