障害調整生命年

障害調整生命年（しょうがいちょうせいせいめいねん、英: disability-adjusted life year、DALY）とは、病的状態、障害、早死により失われた年数を意味した疾病負荷を総合的に示すものである。元来はハーバード大学により世界銀行のために1990年に開発されたものであるが、後に世界保健機関（WHO）がその手法を2000年に採用した。早死によって失われた潜在的な年数の概念を拡張して、損なわれた健康や障害のために失われた健康的な生活の年数も含めたものである[2]。それにより、死亡率と疾病率は単一の共通指標に統合されることになる。DALYは、公衆衛生と健康影響評価 (HIA)[3] の分野で次第に一般的なものとなってきている。
