高度好塩菌

高度好塩菌（こうどこうえんきん、ハロアーキア、ハロバクテリア）（haloarchaea, halobacteria）とは、ユリアーキオータ門ハロバクテリウム綱に属す古細菌の総称。いずれも増殖に高い塩化ナトリウム (NaCl) 濃度を要求する。高度好塩性古細菌、好塩性アーキアと呼ぶこともある。 しかしながら、近年属種の増加により、NaCl濃度が0.9 Mでも増殖可能な種の報告や、最適増殖NaCl濃度が2.0 M以下であるHaloferax volcanii、Halorubrum sodomense、Halorussus ruberなどが報告されている。
