米国カリフォルニア州中部にある港湾都市。半島の先端にあり、ゴールデンゲートブリッジ（金門橋）、ベイブリッジがかかる。1848年のゴールドラッシュで急激に発展。米国最大級のチャイナタウンがある。人口、行政区81万（2008）。

サンフランシスコ市郡（サンフランシスコしぐん、英語: City and County of San Francisco、漢字表記「桑港」）、通称サンフランシスコ（San Francisco）[1] は、アメリカ合衆国西海岸にあるカリフォルニア州の北部に位置する都市であり、北米有数の世界都市。
