下水油

下水（地溝）、排水溝などにたまったドブ水から抽出・再精製された油。中国で食用油として流通しているとされ、社会問題化している。
下水油に対応する中国語の名称は「地溝油」という。日本ではより広い呼び名として「食用廃油」などの呼び方もあるが、日本では廃棄する天ぷら油のような廃油を指して「食用廃油」ということも多いため注意を要する。
中国人民日報のオンライン版「人民網」では、下水油について「レストランなどの排水溝や下水溝に溜まったクリーム状の油から精製した油」と解説している。また、原料となる下水の油から食用油を精製する技術は、単純な物理的分離だけであるという。
中国国内でも下水油は深刻な問題として扱われており、バイオディーゼル燃料として再利用するための開発なども進められている。

地溝油（ちこうゆ、英: Gutter oil, sewer oil、中国語: 地沟油 / 地溝油、拼音: ）とは、主に中国において闇市場で流通している再生食用油のこと。工場などの排水溝や下水溝に溜まったクリーム状（あるいはスカム状）の油を濾過し、精製して食用油脂として使われる油。日本では下水油（げすいあぶら）と紹介されることも多い。また、ドブ油（どぶゆ）などとも言われる。
