ヴィト・ジェノヴェーゼ(英: Vito Genovese、1897年11月2日 - 1969年2月14日)は、アメリカ合衆国ニューヨークのイタリア系犯罪組織マフィア「コーサ・ノストラ」のボス。性格は残忍で狡猾、権力欲が旺盛だった。[要出典]

- ^ ルポロはギャロの証言により暴行罪で刑務所に入ったが、出所後再び別の殺人で捕まった時、40-80年の刑期になると刑事に脅かされ、刑期短縮と引き換えに過去の5件の殺人事件を証言した。警察によればルポロは、「雇用者」が収監中彼の家族の面倒を見るという約束を反故にしたことで証言を決意したという[14]。組織から暗殺を請け負った者が投獄されると組織が殺し屋の家族の面倒を見る慣例があったが、ルポロは組織から援助がなかった。ルポロはジェノヴェーゼやミランダらを当局に密告したにもかかわらず、出所後マイク・ミランダと会って和解し、オメルタによる粛清を免れた。過去、殺しの命令を忠実に実行した功労や、組織の為に12年間監獄生活を強いられたことが理由とされた[15]。
