レボチロキシン（Levothyroxine）またはL-チロキシンは、甲状腺ホルモンの1つであり、T4との略称を持つ。医薬品としては甲状腺機能低下症の治療に用いられたり、甲状腺癌の予防に用いられることもある。不斉炭素を1つ持つ化合物であり、自然に存在するチロキシンと同じくL-型である。商品名チラーヂン。対掌体であるD-チロキシンは高コレステロール血症治療への応用が考えられたことがあるが、心毒性のために開発中止となった。
- ^ 新生児晩期循環不全（Late-onset Circulatory Collapse）とは、主に妊娠30週未満の早産児が、出生後に血行動態が一旦安定した後、数日から数週間後に血液の循環不全に陥った状態である。急性期離脱後循環不全とも呼ばれる。カテコラミン製剤のような強心剤や、輸液などはあまり有効ではなく、むしろ、ステロイドホルモン製剤を投与すると改善しやすいことが知られている。なお、この時の早産児の血中コルチゾール濃度は低下傾向にある場合もあれば、基準値範囲内にあることもある場合もある。これらを併せて、恐らく早産児に相対的なコルチゾールの不足が起きた病態ではないかとも言われている。
