【原文】lymphatic system
感染症を始めとする疾患に抵抗する白血球の産生、貯蔵、運搬を担っている組織と臓器のこと。この系には、骨髄、脾臓、胸腺、リンパ節、リンパ管（リンパ液と白血球の通路となる細い管の回路網）が含まれる。リンパ管は血管のように枝分かれしており、全身のあらゆる組織につながっている。
