マシュー・カウフマン

マシュー・カウフマン（Matthew H. Kaufman、1942年9月29日 - 2013年8月11日）は、イギリスの生物学者・遺伝子学者。エディンバラ大学の名誉教授。1985年 - 2007年に解剖学教授だった。ケンブリッジ、エディンバラで30年間以上解剖学・発生学を講義。
1981年にケンブリッジ大学のマーティン・エヴァンスとアメリカのGail R. Martinとともにネズミの胚芽（胚盤胞）からES細胞を分離した。[1][2]
ネズミの発生学について四冊、軍隊での外科手術の歴史について三冊著述した。また、18・19世紀のエディンバラ大学での医学教育についても書いた。John Barclay博士、Robert Listonについての伝記も書いた。論文数は240。[3]
