ペリオスチン
英語：Periostin
インターロイキン13により誘導されるたんぱく質の一種。骨芽細胞や心臓弁などに特異的に発生する。主に組織再生・修復機能を持つとされる。
ペリオスチンは、1999年に工藤明・東京工業大学教授により発見された。
2012年6月11日、「The Journal of Clinical Investigation」において、アトピー性皮膚炎の慢性化のメカニズムにペリオスチンが強く関わっていることを特定した研究結果が掲載された。これによりアトピー性皮膚炎を抑える新薬の開発が期待できるという。

ペリオスチン (periostin) は、ヒトのPOSTN遺伝子にコードされたタンパク質である[5][6]。ペリオスチンはαVβ3およびαVβ5インテグリンのリガンドとして機能し、上皮細胞の接着および遊走を支える[7]。
