腸管でのカルシウム吸収促進し、骨の形成助け栄養素です。

体がカルシウムリン摂取するのを助け、骨や歯を強くする栄養素である。脂肪の多い、卵、乳製品に含まれている。太陽光にあたると、皮膚がビタミンdを作ることもできる。十分にビタミンdを摂取しないと、くる病呼ばれる骨の病気原因となる。現在、ビタミンdはある種のがんの予防治療のために研究中である。「cholecalciferolコレカルシフェロール)」とも呼ばれる

カルシフェロール呼ばれる物質。からだの中ではそのほとんどが皮膚日光に当たることによってつくられるため「日光ビタミン」ともいわれています。カルシウムリン吸収助け夫な骨・歯の形成を促します。レバー卵黄肝油イワシニシンマグロサケ乳製品などに含まれています。

ビタミンD (vitamin D) は、ビタミンの一種であり、脂溶性ビタミンに分類される。ビタミンDはさらにビタミンD2エルゴカルシフェロール、Ergocalciferol)とビタミンD3(コレカルシフェロール、Cholecalciferol)に分けられる。ビタミンD2は植物に、ビタミンD3は動物に多く含まれ、ヒトではビタミンD3が重要な働きを果たしている。ちなみにビタミンD1はビタミンD2を主成分とする混合物に対して誤って与えられた名称であるため、現在は用いられない。
